“What A Long Strange Trip It’s Been”
In 1990, Charlie and I walked into what was then “The Dari Treat” not knowing what to expect. Although our vision at this point was unclear, we knew we were here to succeed.
It was not an easy journey. While we took on the responsibilities of the newly named “The Blue Cow”, we both kept our day jobs. I worked as a ski instructor and Charlie as a mining supervisor. In the early days we would pass each other on the highway, going form one job to the other. Still, we were persistent in becoming successful, and remained committed to conceiving our vision of “The Blue Cow”.
However, we were not able to achieve all of this by ourselves. We really have to acknowledge the people who have worked with us throughout the years. Sometimes you learn life lessons from people you surround yourself with, they are our gems.
Twenty one years later we have been successful in our endeavor providing you, our customers, family and friends with the best food and service possible. A long way from our hard-rock mining and protracted ski instructing days, we encourage you to enjoy the fruits of our labor and live happy.
